Your journey captured by the one photographer
About the Bump to Baby experience
There’s so much change between the final weeks of pregnancy and those first weeks with your baby. The Bump to Baby experience is a way to capture both.
Your maternity session is relaxed and all about your family as you are right now. Then, once your baby arrives, we meet again at home to capture those tiny details and your new family together.
Both sessions share the same natural approach, giving you two galleries that sit beautifully together. I adore capturing this journey for my clients!
Why families choose to book both?
The biggest benefit isn't actually the discount.
It's the fact that you don't have to start over.
By the time I walk into your home for your newborn session, we've already spent time together. You've already seen how I work. You've already realised that you don't need to know how to pose, your children don't need to behave perfectly, and I'm not expecting anyone to perform for the camera.
You know me. And I know you.

That makes the newborn session feel a lot more relaxed than having someone you've never met before arrive at your front door when you're running on very little sleep and trying to work out life with a brand new baby.
One of my favourite things about these bundles is arriving for the newborn session. I pull up outside a house I've already been to before. I know the names of the people opening the door. I know the older siblings. Sometimes I know the dog.
Instead of introducing ourselves, we get straight into catching up.
And then I get to meet the newest little person in the family.
I genuinely can't think of a better part of my job.

"I had an amazing experience working with Amanda for my maternity and newborn sessions. She is the best! Highly recommend!
She made me feel super relaxed during each shoot, giving direction throughout and making it actually really fun. She was great with my newborn, patient and allowed lots of breaks to nurse and settle as needed. Photo’s were stunning too! And a great client wardrobe too"

"Such a bubbly and warm photographer. We had our maternity and newborn shoot with Amanda. Our toddler felt so comfortable around her and you could tell by the photos- he was beaming/ laughing in them. We had such a blast during the session and ended up getting all the photos because it was impossible to choose. You are really gifted, thank you"

"We have done two beautiful photoshoots with Amanda and they were incredible. At both our maternity photoshoot and newborn photoshoot Amanda made us feel so calm and welcome and helped direct us throughout the sessions. The photos JUST WOW! I don't know where to begin describing what a cherished memory she was able to capture. They are beyond beautiful. I was speechless when I saw them and they are photos I will look back on for the rest of my life. We cannot wait for our future photoshoots with Amanda."

A few things you might be wondering!
What is the best time for maternity photos?
I recommend booking your maternity session for around 30 to 35 weeks. Your bump is beautifully defined, while you’re hopefully still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy your session. Maternity sessions usually take place outdoors at sunrise or sunset for the most beautiful, flattering light.
When should I book my newborn session?
Most families reach out during their second trimester. I’ll always do my best to squeeze in newborn sessions where I can, but booking ahead gives you the best chance of securing a spot around your due date.
Most newborn sessions take place within the first two weeks, when babies still have those tiny, fresh features and naturally curl up so beautifully. But there are no firm timeframes with my natural style. As babies get a little older they tend to be more alert, but we’re also more likely to capture those gorgeous expressions and even the beginnings of little smiles.
The best time is ultimately the time that feels right for you and your family!
Where do the sessions take place?
Maternity sessions take place outdoors at one of my favourite Sydney locations, chosen together based on the look and feel you love. Newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, so there’s no need to pack everything up and head out with a brand-new baby, I bring everything we need to run a session in your home.
What happens if my baby arrives early or late?
Absolutely no stress. We’ll book a date based on your estimated due date and the timeframe you’d ideally like to have your session. This means you have a spot secured in my calendar, while still allowing plenty of flexibility around when your baby actually arrives.
If your little one comes early or decides to take their time, we can simply shuffle your session forward or back as needed. Keeping my newborn bookings carefully planned means I have room to make these little adjustments when babies inevitably have plans of their own.
