FAQ
When should I book?
I recommend booking newborn and maternity sessions as early as you feel comfortable. I usually book my newborn sessions 1 - 2 weeks after your due date and then adjust if we need to depending on when bub actually arrives. I usually book maternity sessions between 30 and 35 weeks.
At the moment, I am generally booked out 2 to 3 months in advance, however some last minute availability does pop up do to reschedules. I recommend reaching out a little earlier if you are after a weekend date as these tend to go the fastest.
My baby is older. Is it too late to capture them?
No, absolutely not! I photograph babies at any age and work with you and your little one on the day to get the best from your session. I know how to read your baby's cues and follow their lead. As bubs get older, we might get less sleepy shots but we are much more likely to get smiles and other beautiful expressions.
What happens if it rains?
I will get in touch a couple of days before the shoot (after consulting the weather forecast) and we will make an action plan. Generally I like to wait until the morning of your session to make the call, especially given Sydney weather has been so unpredictable. If it is looking wet and soggy, we will look at other suitable dates.
What time do the sessions take place?
Newborn sessions run at around 10 am in your home.
Family and maternity sessions run at golden hour! The hour before sunset or the time just before and after sunrise. This light is the best of the day, the most flattering and helps to avoid harsh and unflattering shadows.
What should I wear?
Once you have booked your session you will receive a detailed session guide with lots of tips of how to prepare for your session and styling advice. You will also get access to my client closet for mummas.
